LinkedIn launches beta version of Android app

LinkedIn, the social network everyone signs up for but nobody seems to ever actually use, has launched an Android app. Currently tagged as a beta test release, the only way to get yourself a copy is by downloading the APK direct from the maker.

Here’s a little snippet from the announcement, taken from the LinkedIn blog:

The new Beta app supports several of the key features used most frequently by mobile users on our other platforms:

- View updates from your professional network
- Search for people to discover things you have in common and establish new connections
- Respond to invitations sent from people in your professional life
- Keep in touch with your own connections on LinkedIn

And here are some images. They are a bit low resolution but get the message across.

The social network that everybody knows about, but nobody cares about has just released an app. Mr C hasn’t made an update since then. This can mean one of two things:

    * Mr C is making sure that no one he has ever met is more successful than him
    * Teclast are about to launch an Android phone.

Please God let it be the latter!
