UK online retailer Play.com is the first to announce dates and prices for the upcoming SIZZLING HOT Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc – and the phone comes with the premium price tag we’ve come to expect from Sony Ericsson.
Play will take your Xperia Arc pre-order right now in return for £459.99 – which puts the Android phone at the top-end of today’s unlocked phone price bracket. The good news it’s penciled in for launch on April 1st. Here’s the screencapture of truth:

A slim and glamorous phone from Sony Ericsson, with the sharpest display around. It’s no powerhouse and the screen’s not the biggest out there, but we don’t mind. Because it’s cute.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ January 26, 2011Interesting. However, be prepared for the price to come down nearer the date, especially as other retailers get on board. I think when the HTC Desire was first announced the price was about £500 – I ended up preordering it on Play.com for £370ish and still got it as soon as it was released.
