Speaking after a presentation of its latest financial figures, Nokia’s new chief executive Stephen Elop gave some hope to those who would like to see the popular handset maker switch to Android.
Elop said the future for Nokia would involve change and “multiple ecosystem patterns” – a term which one analyst who spoke to the WSJ expects to mean Nokia embracing Android as a way to start competing a little better in the smartphone arena.
That’s Mr Elop himself. Do it, Stephen. You know it makes sense.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ January 27, 2011Its obvious thats what they are going to do. They are running a campaign with Nielsen where Android users run an app on their phone and it monitiors how they use it. They obviously cannot get that full experience with Symbian, so have decided to “embrace” Android :)
