These photos and specs come from T-Mobile US, so we have no idea if the name or hardware will stay the same for any future European release. Highlights are its 8.9″ screen size, which places the G-Slate in an interesting position in the middle of the tablet market – plus LG says the display is “3D capable” and capacitive with multitouch.
The OS is Android 3.0 or “Honeycomb” plus it’s Tegra 2 powered – which means dual-core and support for 1080p output. Here it is:
8.9″ sounds like a good compromise between usability and portability, if we may be so serious for a second. The US version will arrive on T-Mobile in the spring. We’ll keep an eye out for any Euro announcements.
Finally. A tablet with an interesting back. Here’s the full press release:

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ February 2, 2011I like the look of that thing, especially the 3D bullshit. I bet it’s going to launch at £799 and drop to just about affordable about the time Android 4.0 launches.
