Here it is. Samsung’s update of the Galaxy S, which is set to be announced at Samsung’s pre-Mobile World Congress event tomorrow evening. It’s the Samsung Galaxy S2 and it will indeed arrive with a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display and Android 2.3 onboard.
The finder of this image claims the processor will be a 1GHz dual-core model, which is a little slower than expected but it’ll still make a heck of a difference. It’s big. It’s nice.
Despite the presence of TouchWiz we would very much like to have one. The Galaxy S2 is on the Eurodroid 2011 Phone Upgrade List in position #2, just behind the Xperia Arc which we prefer for vain aesthetic reasons.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ February 12, 2011What a boring design. And what is that Samsung-own UI for when you can have a very nice and absolutely efficient plain Android UI?

/ February 12, 2011The absolutely efficient plain android UI is a jumbled mess, with no design coherence whatsoever, of course not nearly as bad as Touchwiz…

/ February 12, 2011Gingerbread’s much more coherent compared to previous version, still it’s not quite perfect but at least 3rd party apps don’t look out of place as they do on TouchWiz.

/ February 12, 2011Wow. At least Samsung have copied the design of the current iPhone this time.

/ February 12, 2011The Ace is quite a bit more rounded on the bottom edge. This is the real thing.
