Sony Ericsson has today announced the Xperia Neo, a 3.7″ Android phone running Android 2.3 from launch. The headline specs of the Neo are that mid-to-large sized screen which uses the same Sony Ericsson “Reality Display” technology as its Xperia Arc and runs at 854×480 resolution, plus DLNA certification for media use.
It also supports HDMI output and is powered by the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255.
It is pretty sweet. There will also be a red one and a silver one. We are quite excited about this. Sony Ericsson says the Xperia Neo will launch “from end of Q1″ which is officially QUITE SOON.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
