There’s a new version of the Google Reader app up on the Android Market right now, which adds a few interface and usability tweaks to the simple-but-nice app version of Google’s excellent RSS tool.
The most obvious change is a “Mark previous as read” button that pops up on the screen when you’re scrolling through the headline lists, making it much easier to not bother reading the things you once thought you might like to read.
And customisable widgets for everything or individual feeds. Nice. But widgets only work on Android 2.2 phones or above. The app itself will run on anything that’s Android 1.6 or higher. Read the full changelog over on Google’s Mobile Blog.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
