Argos has trimmed the price of the Orange San Francisco a little, taking it down to £89.99. For once this price includes the compulsory £10 top-up, so there’s no extra to pay.
The slight issue is that this is an in-store deal only, so you’ll have to hit up the Argos stock checker and see if there’s one in your local branch.
Then leave the house. Both the grey and white versions of the San Francisco are included in the discount.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ February 20, 2011Grab one of these quickly, and then stick Cyanogen Mod ROM on it to get Gingerbread (Android 2.3.2). The unlock code for this handset is also available free, you just need to Google for it. Then you can have a full Gingerbread SIM-free in your pocket for ninety quid. Nice :)

/ February 21, 2011The Cyanogen Mod ROM isn’t quite ready yet, so it’s probably not good advice to install it unless you know what you’re getting yourself into.
The “Modaco Custom Froyo ROM” on the other hand is very solid and had a bunch of Gingerbread features ported to it including the theme and keyboard in more recent versions. I’m currenttly running version r12 on mine and it looks lovely with the Gingerbread theme on OLED.
