The Motorola Defy is an odd one. It features a big 3.7″ toughened screen that displays everything at a high 480×854 resolution, it’s water and dust proof, plus there’s a decent 800MHz processor in the case – yet it’s always sold at mid-range prices.
Amazon UK is currently selling the Defy for £251.99 including delivery, meaning you can get a heck of a lot of mobile phone for a decent price.
Shame about Motoblur, but it’s pretty easy to deactivate most of Motorola’s weird widgets and return the phone’s Android 2.1 OS to a clean state. Also, according to Motorola’s OS updates page, the European spec Defy will be getting an Android 2.2 update in the next month or two.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ March 17, 2011If I were in the market for a new phone right now, I’d probably be all over this.

/ March 17, 2011An amazingly good offer. Like Lewie I would also snap this phone up if I were in the market for an Android.

A lot of complaints about the earpiece failing over on the Amazon reviews.
