Geared has gained some very positive reviews and happy user feedback from players on iPhone, with gamers enjoying its cog-based puzzling action. It’s now on Android.
This new Android version includes 150 levels, auto-saves your progress and lets users turn the sound off so it can be played in secret while attending a serious meeting. And this is what it looks like:
There’s a video of Android Geared in action over on YouTube to give you a better idea of how it works. And it’s free. The video and the game. Get Geared direct via the Android Market.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ March 25, 2011I agree that the app permissions seem unnecessary. I didn’t install it after seeing it needed access to my contacts. It’s likely that the API call was included by the dev in error but that data is valuable to some people and I could do without having my entire contacts list added to spam lists etc.- I don’t need another free mobile game enough to take the risk. It’s not being a conspiracy theorist, more like common sense not to allow complete strangers access to my private data.
