Uh-oh. The PR crisis detector is now off the scale. UK mobile network Three has just confirmed to VG247 that it is also delaying the official launch of the Android gaming phone until “early next week” due to the same stock issues that are hindering the Vodafone launch.
Whoopsie. This is why you should always be a little vague about dates. Three’s site is now saying April 8 for the earliest delivery of the Xperia PLAY:
We suspect tonight’s Xperia PLAY launch party is therefore going to be a bit of a sombre affair. Thanks to reader “hecatae” for additional on-the-spot reportage.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
