If we didn’t know any better, we might think that £75.99 for a 7″ Android tablet running Android 2.2 was quite a bargain. For that small amount of money, buyers get a resistive 800×480 screen, a 0.3megapixel camera, Flash Player support (!) and access to the Android Market…of sorts.
The amazon listing comments make for interesting reading. The Tabtech M009S would appear to ship with a Chinese language version of the Android Market, which rather makes us doubt its legality, plus a stylus for getting the most out of the resistive toushscreen.
Which makes it a bit of a punt. But could be fun to try or useful if you need a disposable internet device for a stag weekend in… South Bermondsey.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ May 15, 2011What do you mean by “East European danger spot”? Name what places have you traveled and can tell us, what happened to you?

/ May 15, 2011Apologies. I was trying to make a joke about horrible English people going abroad to get drunk, cause trouble and lose their gadgets in places they can’t be bothered to learn the names of.
It was stupid. Sorry chaps.

/ July 6, 2011At the rate of development of the Android market if this unit lasts 2 years, that’s an incredible £38 of reasonable workhorse value. It’s keeping my kids off the main household laptop and it can join the DSi in the back of the car on long journeys. Horses for courses, it’s no ipad or galaxy even – but who cares, its not ment to be. PS it’s well supported by the supplier in the UK -see the Amazon reviews…
No connection with the retailer just a customer who shelled out his hard-earned on the M010. Note: I survived Bermondsey for a few months and lived…. gr8 market :-)
