Well it was sort of announced by HTC a few months back, but today it’s official – the HTC EVO 3D is launching in Europe, and has been given a UK launch date of July. The Android phone will arrive with a 4.3″ qHD resolution “glasses free” 3D display, powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor.
Round the back, the EVO 3D contains two 5megapixel cameras, for capturing images in 3D. Here’s the first official European image:

Motorola’s latest flagship dual-core Android monster is a massive, original powerhouse, that’s a big improvement on previous MOTOBLUR mobiles – but still isn’t a total winner.
A slim and glamorous phone from Sony Ericsson, with the sharpest display around. It’s no powerhouse and the screen’s not the biggest out there, but we don’t mind. Because it’s cute.
LG’s first glasses-free 3D phone is a heavy, fat monster, with a clever 3D effect that works rather well. As a smartphone, though, it’s heavy and underwhelming.
A very shiny thing from Sony Ericsson, with a 3.7″ screen and Android 2.3.3 inside. But is it exciting enough to win fans in today’s spec-obsessed market? Can man live on one core alone?
INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

There i was worried the sensation looked too deep compared to others, then this comes along. Pity i prefer the bigger memory, the bigger battery…..

/ June 27, 2011The only saving grace of this phone is the overall spec. The 5megapixel camera is fine but we all know HTC drags it’s ass compared to the competition in this respect. Am I alone in thinking that 2megapixel resolution for a 3D picture is underwhelming?
Personally I’m not tempted at all. If anything I’d go for the Sensation despite it’s slight shortfall in spec.
