The excellent Android Opera Mobile browser has been updated today, with version 11.1 now available for download via the Android Market. There’s a pretty sizeable changelog from Opera, which claims the new app now includes support for Google’s AutoComplete and voice search, the ability to search from the URL bar and much more.
Opera also claims there’s a new “exit” button so all you control freaks can sleep safe in the knowledge there are no apps still loaded in your phone’s memory – but we couldn’t find it.
It’s a great browser. So many lovely little touches to discover, like the way it zooms the view in, automatically, when it can’t decide which link you’ve clicked because there are several close together in that bit of screen you pressed.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ June 30, 2011Opera Mini also updated to 6.1, if you prefer the Opera Mini experience.
If you think Opera Mobile/Mini is great, the Opera Desktop experience is even better, they just released Opera 11.50 and it’s absolutely amazing, totally smokes Firefox/Chrome is pretty much every area.

/ July 4, 2011Just moved to Opera from xScope and I’m very impressed. Those little touches you mention keep me smiling. It’s very slick. I love the speeddial page. xScope appears to have lost it’s way somewhat.
All I need to know now is how to import my xscope bookmarks into Opera (currently having to revisit every page page and rebookmark.
