The bitter Huawei/ZTE battle at the budget end of the Android phone ranges will really kick off in the UK next month, thanks to the arrival of the first Huawei Android phone to be sold under the Huawei brand.
According to Huawei’s UK boss Andrew Mitchinson, who was speaking with Bloomberg, the Huawei Blaze could arrive in the UK as soon as next month, while Bloomberg’s analyst friends suggest the Blaze could cost as little as £100. This is it:
The Huawei Blaze is a completely average Android phone, featuring a 3.2″ screen, 3.2megapixel camera and Android 2.3 as its operating system. The one interesting feature is a front-facing camera, which is quite a novelty at this cheap end of the market.
Bloomberg says the likes of Vodafone and O2 could be onboard as distributors, but that may refer to other Huawei devices like the recently revealed Huawei Vision.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
