England rugby world cup players contribute to O2 Wake Up

There’s another rugby world cup about to happen, and with it taking place in New Zealand some of the matches occur at very unsociable time of night for us over here. Which is why O2 has created O2 Wake Up, which, er, uses the voices of rugby stars to wake you up in time for matches.

Here’s a snippet from O2′s explanation:

With this autumn’s matches in New Zealand kicking off early in the morning, we’ll make sure you’re up in time for England’s games. You choose the matches you’d like to wake up for, and how long before kick off you’d like to do it. You can also choose which member of the England squad you’d like to be woken up by: Martin Johnson, Lewis Moody, Ben Foden, Chris Ashton or Nick Easter.

I think waking up to the sound of Martin Johnson’s voice is actually the last thing I would ever want to happen. Here’s the app.

Come on England, etc etc. Be as good as the cricket. Thanks to reader Matt for the tip.
