Eurostar launches Android app, with mobile check-in support

The big, exciting train service that goes TO ANOTHER WORLD has launched an official Android app, which lets users buy Eurostar tickets through their mobiles – and also supports phone-scanning for completely paperless check-ins.

Any booking you’ve made can be retrieved through your phone, which generates a QR code for bemused ticket staff to stare at. Here it is. This is the only time we’re ever likely to see the words “business premier” on a ticket.

Find it on the Android Market here. It’s free and even if you never use it it will give your phone an aura of European sophistication. Link via Pocket-Lint.
