If your weekends consist of trips to Hull, Reading and Peterborough, there’s an app to help you while away train journeys – the Football League Clubs’ App. It’s the “official” app of the Football League Championship division, the bit below the fancy Premier League, offering club news, live match scores, player profiles and fixture lists.
It’s in beta at the moment and free to download…
…and it looks about as functional as it needs to be. One of our readers has already put together a sort of review, if you’d like to read more about it.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ September 16, 2011This is nice, I hope there’s a Premiere League version too eventually.

/ September 17, 2011I agree that the Premier League would do well to have such an app. Until then there is always the Barclays app: https://market.android.com/details?id=uk.co.barclays.premierleague&feature=search_result
