Asus releasing Eee Pad Transformer Android 3.2.1 update tomorrow

The ‘People’s Favourite’ Android tablet is about to see yet another update, with the very latest 3.2.1 update of the tablet OS set to arrive for UK Transformer owners tomorrow. Asus says it includes updates to the “web browsing experience” along with changes to the pre-loaded Polaris Office app, plus something it calls a “SuperNote” feature.

30 seconds of furious research tells us SuperNote is… a note-taking app. Wahey.

Almost all the lag was fixed in the 3.2 update. It’s not really a Transformer specific problem, it’s a Android browser problem on javascript heavy sites, all HC tablets suffer from it.

Try using Opera Mobile, absolutely no lage whatsoever with the keyboard when browsing sites….

      • I’ll give Opera Mobile a try. The lag is apparent on the stock Android browser as well as Dolphin HD and even Firefox – although least so with Firefox, that has other issues!

It looks like I’m out of luck though :) This next version has nothing in it to resolve the lag issue in the native browser.

People should have reasonable expectations. I hope it makes Xoom owners cry.

Still not got my OTA update despite regular checking of the “update” on the Transformer, repeated checks of the Asus support download website and other places such as XDA.

Seems some have already got it so it’s frustating that I can’t even get it on the Asus webiste!

The new Supernote application is REALLY impressive, totally trumps all the other note taking apps out there…

    Uninstalled Evernote…

People I know who have received the update in the UK are on the WW – are Asus blocking US updates outside of the USA? Silly if they are!!!
