Samsung has just announced some very impressive Android sales figures, claiming that 30M of Google’s 190M Android devices are its Galaxy S phones. The regular Galaxy S is now near the 20M sales mark, while the superb SII is hovering around the 10M number, globally.
Pretty boring news, to be honest, but Samsung took a special photograph and we like to publicly reward such effort:

Samsung Electronics said on Oct 17 that its flagship smartphones Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 marked the accumulated international sales of 30 million units.
Galaxy S, which has become Samsung’s representative smartphone brand, is just around the corner to hit 20 million sales. And Galaxy S2 which was introduced in last April set the fastest record to hit 10 million sales for Samsung phone (A Galaxy S2 has been sold in every second since its release) owing to its super-AMOLED display, super-fast application processor, optimized software and etc.
Galaxy S2 was also crowned as ‘Phone of the Year’ in major awards like Gadget Award 2011, Mobile Choice and Consumer Award 2011. Thanks to the international popularity of its Galaxy brothers, Samsung Electronics became the second most sold brand in the smartphone market in the second quarter of this year, and continues to lead major European markets including Germany, Italy and France.
Motorola’s latest flagship dual-core Android monster is a massive, original powerhouse, that’s a big improvement on previous MOTOBLUR mobiles – but still isn’t a total winner.
A slim and glamorous phone from Sony Ericsson, with the sharpest display around. It’s no powerhouse and the screen’s not the biggest out there, but we don’t mind. Because it’s cute.
LG’s first glasses-free 3D phone is a heavy, fat monster, with a clever 3D effect that works rather well. As a smartphone, though, it’s heavy and underwhelming.
A very shiny thing from Sony Ericsson, with a 3.7″ screen and Android 2.3.3 inside. But is it exciting enough to win fans in today’s spec-obsessed market? Can man live on one core alone?
INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
