New data from analyst Research2Guidance has pulled out some interesting facts about the Android Market. Of the 500,000 apps it says have been published as of the end of September, a huge 37% of those have been subsequently removed – leaving 319,161 apps currently live in the Market.
Fewer Apple apps have been deleted after publishing – no doubt because iOS developers can’t just upload their “Hello World!” app experiments for a laugh as they can on Android. Here’s a graph:
