Here’s a pleasant surprise. The SIM-free retailers have started pricing up the Galaxy Nexus, with price tags sitting around the usual high-end Android phone level. Unlocked-Mobiles will do you an unlocked Galaxy Nexus for £475, which is a little less than the Galaxy S II launch price. Samsung’s doing a good job of entering into a price and technology war with itself.
We are in no way financially independent enough to claim that £475 is “cheap” in any way – it’s just good to see it’s not going for a ridiculous premium, given the hot new tech inside.
The site also says the unlocked Galaxy Nexus launches on November 7th. And there’s an extra six quid for postage.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

If i’m right though it does have SD card slot also right?
Dan
/ October 20, 2011I read someplace (US based Android website) that the 32gb model might not be destined for our shores.
I really hope this proves to be incorrect as I want this phone but I also want the 32gb version.

/ October 20, 2011Actualy I was wrong on the SD Card, I’ve read now it does not have one.

/ October 20, 2011Hmmm. Anyone pre-order at the lower price? Or have we all been “PWNED” here?

/ October 20, 2011I pre-ordered it there before the price bump and haven’t seen an increase on my invoice or been contacted by them.
