VIDEO: 1080p Galaxy Nexus sample clip

A chap called Romain Guy, who’s one of the more public-facing of the many Android engineers, was given the task of creating a 1080p video clip to best show off the video recording powers of the forthcoming Galaxy Nexus.

Here’s what he came up with, which is a longer version of the clip Google itself used in the Galaxy Nexus / Android 4.0 announcement presentation. Be sure to pop the player out and select 1080p to see it at actual HD resolution.

Obviously the clever timelapse stuff required specific hardware, with Romain attaching the Galaxy Nexus to a custom dolly, which looks like…

…that. Of course, you don’t get a timelapse dolly with every phone. You can read more about Romain’s video capturing skills over on his Google+ page.

Damn. That video quality was so crisp I’m left sporting a boner.
Will this take better videos/photos than the Samsung Note? They’re both falling into my – cant wait another 8-9 months for an upgrade, upgrade.
