As part of the announcement of the massively expanded and updated Google Music today, Google also took a few seconds to talk up the successes of Android so far, updating us on how many Android devices are in use around the world.
There are 200 million of them, plus an additional 550,000 Android devices are now being activated every day. Here’s a graph.
That “May” point was back when Google updated us all on progress during I/O 2011. Android has doubled its sales in six months.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
