Phones4U has indeed acquired a two-week exclusive of a sort with the Galaxy Nexus in the UK, with the shop chain claiming it is, and we quote, “…the only independent, multi-network stockist of the Galaxy Nexus for two weeks from the date of launch.”
We think that oddly-worded mess of a sentence means that other indie phone chains can sell it from today, but only if they offer it tied into one network – and can get stock out of Samsung.
Which would explain why Carphone Warehouse is only selling the new Nexus on Orange contracts at the moment. What a weird exclusive.
CASE CLOSED.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.
