Orange UK has just published a video showing off its previously leaked Orange San Francisco II, giving us our first official look at the latest rebranded ZTE product it’ll be selling later this month. As we know, there’s not a huge number of enhancements, but Orange is happy it supports its “HD Voice” feature and is a bit thinner.
Plus it’s running Android 2.3 from the off, with a 5megapixel camera. And the price is indeed the same as the original San Fran – £99 with a compulsory £10 of calling credit on PAYG. It’ll also be on monthly contracts.
Nice beard. The San Francisco II is not yet listed on Orange’s site, but this pretty much confirms the November 21st launch date rumour from earlier this week.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ November 17, 2011That’s not a bad little price. I played with the Monte Carlo and it was alright, my only grievance was when my friend had a problem, Orange tried to palm her off with last year’s San Fran model which is much lesser spec. Had they had this she might have gone for it. – Fortunately they didnt and they upped her to a Samsung Galaxy lol.
If it wasn’t only on Orange, I’d get one of these for my partners mum, it’s the best option available for her but, she’s loyal to O2 dammit.

/ November 17, 2011Shame that even with the very welcome speed bump, camera light etc, it’s still hampered by the last-gen processor. Otherwise looks really rather nice, but almost certainly (per the original SF) won’t make it to these shores without Orange branding (which AFAIK includes a lock-down to Orange email, charged-for if used off-network).
