Motorola’s got another long awaited Android update ready for its European fans, promising to finally update the old QWERTY MILESTONE 2 to Android 2.3 this week. Here’s a little snippet from Motorola confirming the update, although don’t get too excited – it’s another “in stages” gradual roll out…
News for European Motorola Milestone 2 owners. The upgrade to Gingerbread will begin tomorrow, we will be rolling out in stages and so please watch this space for more information. Thanks!
…so we’ll be fighting other EU countries to see who’s first, like a mobile phone version of Eurovision.
Seem to remember quite liking the MILESTONE 2 at the time, but that was a whole year ago.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

Plenty here. There’s a lot of high quality ones but personally I feel iOS apps are of slightly better quality still.

/ December 2, 2011At last, 2.3.4 has arrived! Update was easy and quick, Gingerbread looks softer, rounder, smoother. Shame its taken so long, but hey, expect no more from Moto. Wonder if they will give me 4.0 on my MS2, and if so when??

/ December 3, 2011Getting ICS on your Milestone 2.. you’ve got two hopes, Bob Hope and no hope..!
I will never buy another Motorola Android device again for precisely this reason. The RAZR looks lovely but who believes it will get ICS before next September?
