Google has updated Galaxy Nexus owners on its plans to fix that odd 900MHz volume glitch, claiming that an over-the-air update will arrive within the next week or so. According to The Verge, this is Google’s latest official pronunciation on the issue:
“We’re currently rolling out a fix for the volume issue which will reach everyone in the coming week.”
Plenty can be read into those few words. Given that it will “reach everyone” it has to be an imminent OTA update, right?
Of course, we already know the software update for the Galaxy Nexus is being tested, with the unofficial official release already available for brave users who don’t mind a bit of manual OS updating.
Motorola’s latest flagship dual-core Android monster is a massive, original powerhouse, that’s a big improvement on previous MOTOBLUR mobiles – but still isn’t a total winner.
A slim and glamorous phone from Sony Ericsson, with the sharpest display around. It’s no powerhouse and the screen’s not the biggest out there, but we don’t mind. Because it’s cute.
LG’s first glasses-free 3D phone is a heavy, fat monster, with a clever 3D effect that works rather well. As a smartphone, though, it’s heavy and underwhelming.
A very shiny thing from Sony Ericsson, with a 3.7″ screen and Android 2.3.3 inside. But is it exciting enough to win fans in today’s spec-obsessed market? Can man live on one core alone?
INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

tried to emulate the problem by turnign off 3g on my iphone 3g and moving it close to the nexus, but it was fine :)

well, i’ve had one weird experience so far. as i was listening to a song, my nexus just decided to die on me, after going through some screeching noise and the screen going all crazy/static!!!
taking out the batter and rebooting seemed to fix the problem, and i’ve had no issues since.
it think this may be the “force GPU” error that i’ve seen mentioned in some site :(

hardware: good, but not as good as the s2
ICS : fast, smooth, visually crisp and clear and with lot of things to play around with (literally!! the “silly faces” option my neice and nephew have been playing on it since they got their hands on it, as well as showing off the “face unlock” to their friends lol)
