The new Android Dropbox app has been teased quite heavily by the makers, now it’s out there and should be updating itself on your phone. It’s massively different, turning Dropbox into more of a visual, exciting looking, photo and file manager than the simple sharing utility it was before.
You now get a very swish new front end with a tabbed layout, little icon previews, a drop-down shortcut list beside each file, built-in file manager for sharing things other than photos and videos, a Favourites tab that stores files on the phone, a custom image gallery…
…and it’s all very nice indeed. And just in time to make it easier to manage and upload all those photographs of you pretending to be happy in front of a Christmas tree.

INQ’s Android phone is an interesting “boutique” piece of hardware, packed with unique interface customisations that go far beyond the headline Facebook integration. We like it a lot.

/ December 23, 2011Big question is… does it actually sync all your stuff to local storage? I shall find out.
