Orange San Francisco II now available in, you guessed it, white

Orange is now accepting online orders for the white version of the middlingly-popular Orange San Francisco II, which start at the £10.50 per month level for a contract plus a “free” phone. That bargain basement Orange SIM includes a rather useless 30 minutes of talktime and 100MB of mobile data, mind, so it’ll cost a bit more than that if you want it on a proper grown-up’s tariff.

The phone’s a rather small update of the groundbreaking original San Fran, offering a 3.5″ screen running at 480×800 resolution, with the fun stuff brought into life by an 800MHz processor. And now with white bits on show.

The white model is not being sold direct on PAYG basis yet, so that’s your only choice. And the black PAYG one’s currently out of stock.

BEST DEALS: HTC Flyer wi-fi model, £234.99

Online tech specialist Expansys has reduced the wi-fi version of the HTC Flyer to an exciting NEW LOW, selling the fancy tablet with the pressure-sensitive stylus for a rock-bottom price of £234.99 including the cost of getting a man to bring it to your house or office.

For a very well made tablet with a decent enough spec, that’s a great price – even moreso when you remember there’s that Android 3.2 update floating about for it, too.

The Flyer was briefly reduced to £199 in the post-Christmas sales rush by some sellers, but if you missed out on it back then at that level (it was bloody hard to find at that price) this is still a decent deal for a cheap “in” to the tablet world. Check it out over at Expansys.

BEST DEALS: Galaxy Nexus down to £449 at Amazon

Amazon UK has slashed a fairly decent lump of cash off the price of a Galaxy Nexus, selling an unlocked version of the very exciting Android 4.0 phone for £449.41 with the option of having it delivered for free.

Again, we feel a little bit shamelessly capitalistic in suggesting £449 is in any way some sort of bargain to be snapped up without thought, but… relatively speaking… that’s well over £50 off the launch price of an unlocked Galaxy Nexus so can’t be all that bad if you’re in the market for one off contract.

The Nexus is also being sold direct from Amazon itself rather than through some unpredictable third-party reseller, which is always a bonus.

LG Prada 3.0 launching at Phones 4U tomorrow

Mobile specialist Phones4U has struck some sort of DEAL to allow it to sell the new LG Prada phone slightly before everyone else, with the fancy slimline Android model launching through the retailer from tomorrow.

There’s some pretty decent deals up on the phone’s pre-order page too, letting you get a Prada 3.0 on an O2 contract for £21.50 a month with an £89 upfront fee. That SIM comes with 100 calling minutes, 500 SMS messages and 500MB of mobile data.

We are still oddly attracted to it and are composing a review request email at this very moment. Although we never get much joy from P4U or LG, so don’t hold your breath. Here’s the thing:

Pink Galaxy S II dated for “Week commencing Feb 13th”

In the extremely unlikely event you’re waiting for that pink Samsung Galaxy S II that was first revealed earlier this month, we now have some updated price and date details courtesy of Expansys. The site says the literally shocking pink edition of the phone will arrive in the week commencing February 13th, plus it’ll come with a price tag “of around £439.99″ for an unlocked model.

That’s ten pounds more than the price Expansys is currently charging for the sensible black model, so there’s a small extra charge for having it in pink.

UPDATE: The pink model is now available through Unlocked-Mobiles, which appears to have beaten everyone in getting stock.

We’d need a sizeable reduction to have it in pink, but horses for courses and all that. You could always put it in a case.

BEST DEALS: Unlocked HTC EVO 3D for £249

The HTC EVO 3D has once again been discounted, with the online wing of ASDA now selling the phone for £249 plus a few quid for delivery if you live somewhere sensible. For that you get an unlocked version of the EVO 3D without a SIM card, plus, of course, all the glasses-free 3D Android fun you can handle.

The EVO 3D is also available on a stupidly cheap £20.50 tariff over at Phones4U. If HTC had released the phone for a more sensible price to begin with it might’ve earned a bit of a bigger following.

Pretty incredible to see phones like this more than halving in price in the space of sixth months or so.

BEST DEALS: Wi-Fi Motorola XOOM £249

Carphone Warehouse is having a big clear out of its tablet section, launching a standalone tablet discount promotion. Star of the show is the Motorola XOOM, which has been PRICE SLASHED down to a very enticing £249 for the wi-fi model. With the XOOM’s Android 4.0 update just launched in the US, that’s a great way to get a bit of Ice Cream Sandwich on the cheap.

The site’s also chopped the price of the 3G XOOM, which is yours for £329. The biggest reduction of all has been saved for the insane LG Optimus Pad, which has been reduced from its scarcely believable £749 launch price to £349.

Oddly, you’ll have to phone CPW if you want to take it up on any of these deals right now, as the discounts won’t appear for online orders until tomorrow. And we suspect there might be an unseemly battle to order stock. Check out the offers here.

LG Prada 3.0 coming to T-Mobile on contract

T-Mobile UK has appeared as the first UK mobile network to officially support the very odd looking LG Prada 3 Android phone, with the quirky handset appearing on the operator’s coming soon pages today. There are no pricing plans hinted at, just a “February 2012″ release date as we’ve already seen offered by the SIM-free specialists.

Oddly captivating phone. Can’t stop thinking about it. Don’t want to go mad and actually buy one to keep, but wouldn’t mind spending a dirty weekend with the Prada.

Motorola MOTOLUXE priced at £253, due Feb 20th

Motorola’s recently revealed MOTOLUXE has been given a UK launch date, with online phone shop Unlocked mobiles adding to it listings alongside a launch date of February 20th. The asking price for those who want to pre-order right now is £252.98 for a SIM-free model.

The MOTOLUXE is an odd phone to categorise. It has a high-end 4″ screen and 8MP camera (plus front-facing VGA chat cam), but there’s only an 800MHz single-core processor inside, making it a strange halfway house between cheap-phone and super-phone.

A bit like the Orange Monte Carlo, in fact. Could easily end up being all mouth and no trousers.

Archos A70 IT 2 now available – Android 3.2 for £179

The awkwardly named Archos A70 IT2 has gone on sale through HMV in the UK, with the super-cheap Android 3.2 tablet now available for £179.99. The Android tablet includes a 7″ screen running at 1024×600 resolution, powered by a single-core 1.2GHz processor.

There’s also 8GB of onboard media storage space and 512MB of system RAM, HDMI output and access to the Android Market…

…but it’s a great price regardless. We’re 99% sure this is the same unit as the ARCHOS 70b that was announced for the UK a few weeks back, only with yet another bewildering ARCHOS model name attached to it to keep HMV happy and make it look like an exclusive.
